Connect with Facebook and Instagram

Prerequsite

• If you want to connect with Facebook only, without Instagram, you will need

  • Facebook page
  • Page admin access to Facebook page (ref: https://www.facebook.com/help/187316341316631)

• If you want to connect with Instagram

  • requirement listed above
  • Instagram business account (must be business account, creator account will not work) (ref: https://help.instagram.com/502981923235522)
  • Instagram connected with Facebook page (to connect Instagram to Facebook page, please refer to section below)

Connect Instagram to Facebook page

This is needed if you want to connect Instagram with MPower CS.

Requirement
Access to Instagram business account to be connectedMust be Instagram business account (ref: https://help.instagram.com/502981923235522)

Procedure

1. Login to Facebook account which has page admin access to the Facebook page to be connected

2. Select Pages on the left sidebar
   

3. Select the page to be connected
   

4. Select Settings in Manage Page menu on the left

5. Select Instagram in settings menu

   • Facebook page not connected to Instagram
     

6. Click Connect Account button

7. Follow instructions in OAuth dialog

   • Login to Instagram account to be connected

8. After Instagram account connected to Facebook page
   

Connect with Facebook page through MPower CS portal

1. Login to MPower CS portal, as company owner

2. Then navigate to channel setting screen

   • by clicking menu in top right corner
     

   • click settings

   • click Customer channels on menu on left hand side
     

3. Click Facebook Post Comment, Messenger and Instagram

4. Click Connect after reading instructions

5. If you want to connect Instagram Business account with MPower CS, check the checkbox in Step 1. Please check whether all requirements above are fulfilled
   

6. Click Authenticate to Facebook button

7. Follow instructions in Facebook OAuth dialog

   • Select Instagram business account if applicable
   • Select Facebook page to be connected
   • Select all permissions in OAuth dialog

8. Select Facebook page to be connected
   

9. Select feature you want to integrate, including

   • Facebook page comment
   • Facebook messenger
   • Instagram direct message
   • Instagram post

10. Click Connect Facebook pages
